Program Overview
The Pilotage undergraduate program at Istanbul Aydın University is a four-year, English-medium degree designed to prepare students for careers as professional pilots. The program combines rigorous academic coursework with comprehensive flight training. Theoretical courses cover subjects such as aviation meteorology, aircraft systems, navigation, air traffic control, aerodynamics, flight planning, aviation regulations, and instrument flight rules (IFR). Practical flight training is conducted in partnership with True Course Flight Academy, an authorized flight school by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM). Upon successful completion, graduates receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Pilotage and an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL-A) approved by SHGM .

Graduates of the Pilotage program are equipped to pursue various roles within the aviation industry. They can work as commercial pilots for domestic and international airlines, operate cargo aircraft, or serve in air taxi, business jet, and air ambulance services. Additionally, opportunities exist as flight instructors, air traffic controllers, and in other aviation-related positions.
