Program Overview
The English Language Preparatory Program at Istanbul Aydın University is designed to equip students with the necessary language skills to succeed in their academic pursuits. The program follows a one-year course structure, divided into four tracks, each lasting eight weeks. Students are placed into proficiency levels ranging from A1 (Beginner) to B1 (Pre-Intermediate) based on a placement exam. The curriculum encompasses comprehensive language instruction, including grammar, speaking, reading, listening, and writing. Specialized courses focus on listening and speaking, reading comprehension, academic writing, and vocabulary development. Additionally, the program incorporates online education components to reinforce learning outside the classroom. Starting from the second semester, students receive instruction in English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and preparation for the TOEFL-iBT exam. To progress to their respective departments, students must achieve a minimum score of 78 on the TOEFL-iBT exam at the end of the academic year .
